How Having A Blog is the Single Most Important Thing You Need To Have If You Want To Go Online

What is the #1 thing that you need if you are planning to go online? Well, if you notice, in this video there is a centralized theme here–that is a blog. Now if you notice, the blog is surrounded by marketing channels that all point back to the blog.

So why have a blog? Well here are the advantages of having a blog?

1. You can use a blog for any media that you promote. You can host a video, a podcast, a screenshare video–just about any medium that you can use can be promoted on a blog–even a Periscope-you can have your phone record your periscope shot, download it and host it on your blog.

2. People don’t associate blogs with selling. This is important for your business. They might have a lot of resistance to coming to a web page that is obviously selling, however, there are very few people that associate getting useful training from a blog to selling.

3. It is a platform that you own and control. You DO NOT own Facebook or YouTube and there are many people that have had their accounts shut down. But not on a blog. You own it and can promote anything you wish on it.

4. You can have multiple lead magnets in a blog. You can have a opt in on the sidebar, then another one at the bottom in your P.S Line, and even another one that pops up when they leave your site.

5. If you are in Network Marketing you can also have another opt in for “Work with me”. They can apply to work with your personally.

6. You can put retargeting code on your site. This is merely a copy and paste piece of text that you can install in your site. Then if they visit your site and do not opt in you can retarget them whereever they go on the web. This is some of the cheapest advertising that you do and is very effective.

7. It enhances your personal brand and the way people see you. It puts you out there as an authority. All of which makes selling and recruiting easier.

Think of your blog as the centralized hub and everything else as a spoke that leads back into that same place.

To your continued success;
